About the Artist

A self-taught Artist, much of Dexter Sessoms work present a monochromatic expression of his subjects. Not at all a contrived stylistic tactic added to an already credible form of artistic expression, but conceivably a direct result of his shy admission to color blindness! Yet he has developed an extraordinary eye for color.
A Native of White Plains, New York and a military veteran, Sessoms began painting at age 10. An award winning artist, his work has been recognized at juried Art shows across the country and can be found in a myriad of public and private art collections.
A man whose work recalls the Harlem Renaissance, Sessoms' work is sure to be viewed in the same regard for the millennium.
